Over the past six months we’ve had the pleasure of welcoming Kyle Academy Student, Bradan, into our studio on Thursday’s, giving him the opportunity to experience life inside a working creative agency.
Tasks and Experiences
During his time with us, Bradan got the chance to get involved in a variety of different tasks across the areas we cover within graphic design. This included:
- Assisting with design work from posters to social media posts using Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
- Sitting in on project discussions and helping to plan video content creation sessions
- Learning the basics of animation with Adobe After Effects
- Filming content for Adworks services, including B-roll clip filming.
- Creating stop motion footage using Stop Motion Studio
- Gaining an understanding of how ideas develop from initial brief to final output
Experiencing different parts of the creative process helps to provide a real insight into how an agency operates day-to-day.
Favourite Area: Video Production
One area that quickly became a favourite was video production. From seeing how shoots are planned to watching footage come together behind the camera, it was great to see Bradan’s enthusiasm for this part of the creative process. Video continues to be a growing area within design and marketing, and it was fantastic to share that experience with someone keen to learn more about it.
Bradan had this to say about his time at Adworks:
